TORORO CEMENT LIMITED DONATES FOOD TO MUSLIMS

The needy Muslim families in Tororo Municipality have received an assortment of food items just hours to the start of the Holy month of Ramadhan. The donation courtesy of Tororo Cement Limited and Alfa Auliers limited was given to 200 needy families drawn from the 10 mosques within the Municipality. The packages containing rice, sugar, posho, cooking oil and salt was worth 7.5 million shillings. The distribution exercise took place at Istiqama mosque at mile one along Tororo- Busia road on Tuesday. The Muslim leaders and the beneficiaries hailed Tororo cement limited and Alfa Auliiers limited for the positive gesture at this critical moment saying it will go along way in boosting them to kickstart the holy month of Ramadhan. Shooting at a School claims Nine and at least 25 injured in Canada

Nine people have been killed and at least 25 injured  in shootings at a school and home in British Columbia in western Canada, police say   Six victims were found dead inside Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, while a seventh person died on the way to the hospital The suspect's body was also found at the school with a self‑inflicted injury, officials say Two more people were found dead inside a residence nearby -  police believe the shootings are connected  but "are not in a position to provide that definitively." The President made the remarks on Sunday, 8th February  2026, in his message delivered by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, during a memorial service for Rev. Sserwadda and thanksgiving for building the Church at Kanyeganyegye, Kashari, Mbarara District. According to President Museveni, like Jesus and Apostle Paul, Rev.   The former minister of state for Karamoja Affairs, Barbra Oundo Nekesa, has donated a mini-bus to Buhobe Primary School in Bulumbi Sub-County, Busia district.   The handing over is part of the fulfillment of her earlier pledge she staked to any lower local government in the district that will overwhelmingly vote for President Museveni, the flag bearer of the ruling National Resistance Movement party, and all its party flag bearers in the 2026 polls.   While handing over the bus to the school management committee, she appealed to the school administration to improve the bus into good performance, especially in the national examination (PLE).   She said she anticipates that the extended support will help the school in cutting costs that it would encounter in transporting learners for study and exposure tours, as the competency-based curriculum requires. .
