Kikuube District has 7 Sub-Counties/Town Councils, 29 Parishes and 335 Villages.


2. The population of Kikuube is 379,547 according to the census report 2024.

3. In the 2021 Presidential Elections, Kikuube had 112,825 registered voters. Out of these, 67,086 (59.5%) voted. 

4. His Excellency President @KagutaMuseveni polled 49,490 (77.5%) while NUP polled 10,771 (16.9%), Amuriat (FDC) polled 360 (0.56%). The others polled 3,219 (5%).

5. To In 2025, Kikuube District has a total of 145,189 voters.  The Polling Stations are 330 up from 204 in 2021.

PARISH DEVELOPMENT MODEL FOR KIKUUBE DISTRICT

·   Kikuube District with 29 Parishes has cumulatively received Shs. 10,356,071,361=. Out of this, Shs. 8,941,925,000= (86.34%) has been disbursed to 9,024 beneficiary households.

·      Kikuube has a total of 92,335 Households. Out of these, 9,024 (9.77%) have already received PDM Funds.

·      Out of 92,335 Households in Kikuube, when you subtract the 9,024 (9.77%) of the households in Kikuube that have benefited from PDM, the balance is 1,525 (1.65%) households. These include even those who are already in the money economy.

EMYOOGA

Kikuube District has a total of 36 Emyooga SACCOs with 21,778 members. Government has so far disbursed a total of Shs. 1,260,000,000=.

EDUCATION SECTOR

Kikuube District has a total of:

·      74 Government primary schools and 71 private schools.

·      7 Government secondary schools and 17 private   secondary schools.

·  The Government secondary schools provide Universal Secondary Education and Universal Post Ordinary Level Education and Training.

DISTRIBUTION OF GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN THE PARISHES

Kikuube District has 29 Parishes, with 20 hosting at least one Government primary school while 9 Parishes are still lacking. However, Kikuube has 74 Government primary schools. There are Parishes with more than one Government primary school.

SECONDARY EDUCATION

Kikuube District has 7 Government secondary schools. It has 17 private secondary schools. The Government secondary schools Provide Universal Secondary Education and Universal Post Ordinary Level Education and Training with a total enrollment of 4,286.

DISTRIBUTION OF GOVERNMENT SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN KIKUUBE DISTRICT

Kikuube District has 7 Sub-Counties, with 6 hosting at least one Government secondary school, while 1 Sub-County is still lacking.

CONSTRUCTION OF SEED SCHOOLS IN KIKUUBE DISTRICT

Kikuube District is benefiting with the construction of 3 Seed Secondary Schools. With the completion of these 3 Seed Secondary Schools, the Sub-Counties without Government secondary schools will reduce from 1 to 0.

HEALTH SECTOR
Out of 7 Sub-Counties in Kikuube, 2 have HCIVs and 19 have HCIIIs. Therefore, all Sub-Counties have Health Facility of either a HCIII, HCIV or a Hospital.

Hospital or Health Centre IV coverage by Constituency

·      Kikuube District has a HCIV in Buhaguzi Constituency with 2 Doctors.

WATER SECTOR

·      Out of 335 rural villages, 192 have access to a safe water source, representing an average coverage of 57%. This leaves 143 villages (43%) without access to safe water.

Completed Interventions;

·      Completed designs for Kabango Piped Water System and Rwemparaki RGC Piped Water System.

·      Completed construction of Nyamulima Piped Water System-Phase III serving 3,000 persons.

·      Completed extension of Kinakyeitaka Piped Water System, Bujalya Piped Water System and Kyehoro Piped Water System.

·      Completed the following Piped Water Supply Systems:-

Ø Kinogozi Piped Water Supply System – serving 2,998 people.
Ø Kabwoya Town Council Piped Water Supply System – serving 3,139 people.
Ø Wambabya RGC Water Supply System – serving 15,500 people.
Ø Kiduuma-Kiryanga RGC Water Supply System – serving 3,300 people.
Ø Kyarushesha RGC Water Supply System – serving 4,500 people.
Ø Buhimba Water Supply System – serving 2,410 people.

·      Drilled 52 deep boreholes in the Sub-Counties of; Kyangwali, Kabwoya, Bugambe, Buhimba, Kiziranfumbi, Bugambe, Buhimba TC and Kikuube TC.

·      Rehabilitated 37 boreholes in the sub counties of; Kyangwali, Kabwoya, Bugambe, Buhimba, Kikuube TC, Kiziranfumbi and Kikuube.

Ongoing Interventions;

·      1 piped water system is under construction (Nyamulima Piped Water System-Phase IV).

·      Rehabilitation of 15 boreholes. That is, Kyamagigi, Munyunke, Kibingo-Wabitaba, Rwoga, Kihenda, Nyawaiga P/S, Mahamba Catholic church, Tontema P/S, Nyakatehe I, Mombasa, Bishop Kihangi P/S, Kakende, Kyabaseke P/S, Rukede and Kisiiga.

Future plans:

·      Expand service coverage to additional cells and villages under the Kabwoya and Kinogozi Town Council systems, increasing the population served and ensuring equitable access to water and sanitation services.

ENERGY SECTOR

Kikuube District is now connected to the National Grid.
