Loreto High School Teachers Under Investigation Over Sexual Harassment Claims
Loreto High School Limuru has placed two teachers under disciplinary hearing and launched a safety review after allegations of sexual harassment and grooming of students surfaced.
Through a
letter to the parents, the Board of Management (BoM) explained that the
disciplinary action was preceded by investigations by both the school and the
Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
The August 8 memo
guaranteed that the board sat on August 6 and heard evidence against the two
teachers.
“On August
6, 2025, the BoM as an agent of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) held
disciplinary hearings of two teachers. This was as a result of investigations
carried out by TSC and the school. Appropriate recommendations have been made
to the TSC from this meeting,” the letter stated.
The allegations came to light after several online videos and news reports
identified two male teachers at the school, accusing them of inappropriate
conduct toward students. In one video, a former student claimed that one
teacher would isolate his targets under the pretense of evening tuition, during
which he allegedly touched female students indecently.
However, the
letter from the school management did not disclose the particular reasons for
the investigation.
The school’s letter also revealed that management is
reviewing the learning environment to identify and address any signs of
misconduct, with the goal of safeguarding students’ welfare.
Parents, students, and stakeholders were also requested to
report any violations to the police or other relevant authorities.
