Tororo County NRM Party members cautioned against double Standards.

The Chairman Tororo County NRM District executive committee [DEC] Mr. Godfrey Otabongo has caution party member against hypocrisy during this general elections.

While delivering his maiden speech to Tororo County NRM party structures from all sub counties in the county, at the Pearl Hotel located on Masaba Road senior quarters, eastern division, Tororo Municipality Mr. Godfrey cautioned party faithful to follow strictly the party constitution and guidance as well stipulated down and avoiding engaging in double standards habits of campaigning against official NRM flagbearers at all levels.

Noting that he has received intelligence briefs of some NRM flagbearers who have crossed to support independents candidates for Parliamentary Seats who last during the last NRM Party Primaries going against the agreed position by the National Executive committee of the Party and its members earlier this year.

Reading from the NRM party constitution quoting chapter 3 section 8[1] The DEC chairman Tororo County reminded members, that their on oath and should avoid practices which can causes their disqualification or even legal prosecution once sighted going against the official party position.

Speaking at the same function Tororo County South Member of Parliament Hon Fredrick Angura emphasized the need of NRM Party Member to stick to the agreed position in Butalejia District this year, where they were told to revive what took Place in Arua, Lamwo , Acholi and Teso and organize better to improve on the mistakes committed by the party in other areas for better mobilization as the Party chairman visits the district.

Angura cautioned members to be concussed with money, because following the trend where the president has been, as he leaves many party members get to prison for mismanagement of funds left mobilization.

The meeting was organized to prepare party members for the coming of the NRM Presidential candidate and Party Chairman President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who will be Campaigning in Tororo district this week.

Adhola moved with his brother Owiny who led a group through Tororo to western Kenya .The group that remained in Tororo under Adhola later constituted the present Jopadhola ethnic group which developed a distinct social, political and economic system that survived and served as their identity, and later realized unity and harmonious interaction with the environment.
