Anybody fighting Dr. Tanga Odoi is an enemy to Bukedi region, says Anita Among
While delivering her median speech in Tororo at Kisoko Boys Primary school in Kisoko Sub County Tororo district last Sunday, at the launch of a political mobilization drive for the ruling National Resistance Movement party flag bearer President Yoweri Museveni ,The Right Hon Speaker of the 11th Parliament and the NRM Second National Vice Chairperson (Female), Hon Anita Annette Among expressed disappointment at anyone fighting Dr. Tanga Odoi the Chairman of NRM Electoral Commission as an enemy of Tororo, Bukedi and the entire Eastern region .
As Hundreds of Residents cheered on, The speaker described Dr. Tanga Odoi as an asset to the National Resistance movement judging by his innovations in the party that have kept it not only afloat but also ahead of the opposition in mobilization. like nomination fee for the NRM Primaries from Aspirants where the party in the just concluded Party Primaries collected 10 Billion shillings late used to finance NRM Party Flag-bearers in the General elections of 2026.
Hon Anita Among expressed gratitude to the people of Tororo for their overwhelming support rendered to her as she contested for the NRM Second National Vice Chairperson (Female) and asked them to shift the same support to president Museveni in the 2026 general elections and all NRM flag-bearers. and called upon the people of Tororo to rally firmly behind his candidature and consolidate the gains achieved under the NRM’s trans-formative leadership.
Among emphasized the role of grassroots party leaders in vote mobilization saying that its the reason why the party is putting weight in launching grassroots mobilization drives.
She
disregarded calls for protest votes proclaimed by the opposition parties more
so the National Unity Platform claiming that the sitting government has almost
done nothing.
She
took the advantage of the podium to sensitize the community on the various
wealth creation initiatives spearheaded by the NRM government, urging residents
to actively embrace them in order to realize the national vision of making a
qualitative leap into upper middle-income status.
Earlier
Among held a meeting all the losers of the parliamentary party primaries where
Solomon Oketcho who lost to George Oketcho for West Budama North constituency but
got nominated on the independent ticket stepped down to support the flag
bearer.
