Tororo pastor arrested for extortion

Police in Tororo has arrested a pastor for alleged extortion and obtaining money by false pretence. Pastor Joseph Okama Oketcho a mobilizer for Tororo Pastors and ministers fellowship was arrested this afternoon under the instruction of the deputy resident district commissioner Albert Amula. He is alleged to have been soliciting money from EMYOOGA groups in pretense of helping to link them financial institutions being operated by Top government officials mainly Kadaga Rebecca Alitwala foundation. According to the Amula, the suspect was charging groups to a tune of 40 000 shillings for transport and 150,000 shillings to process their files. He said they acted after consulting with the office of the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister incharge of East African Affairs that confirmed that the foundation exists bu does not have such arrangements He challenged members of the public to be conscious of flooded financial frauders.
