Pentecostal Bishop Girado warns Christians on backsliding.

The Bishop of Pentecostal Outreach Ministries International Church Tororo Dr Girado Olukol has encouraged believers to remain faithful to their denomination if they are to grow in their faith.

He says backsliding from faith can lead to loss of relationship with God, spiritual weakness, shame, a bad witness to others, and potential separation from salvation, resulting in spiritual emptiness, vulnerability to spiritual attacks, and the inability to experience God's peace and joy.

He however said God's grace and forgiveness are available through repentance, enabling restoration and a renewed commitment to Christ. The bishop’s call was contained in his sermon during the baptism of over 200 Christians at Magola Pentecostal Outreach Ministries International Church. In a colorful ceremony held at Osia stream, Bishop Girado said growing in faith requires patience and tolerance.

He urged the new converts to remain prayerful since the sacrament they have received has renewed their faith and made them the children of God. He disclosed that the new sacrament signifies that they have died with Christ and will rise with Christ as the book of Colesthians 2:12. By Omollo Joseph
